TURKS AND CAICOS
Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas. The gateway island of Providenciales, known as Provo, is home to expansive Grace Bay Beach, with luxury resorts, shops and restaurants.
Scuba-diving sites include a 14-mile barrier reef on Provo’s north shore and a dramatic 2,134m underwater wall off Grand Turk island
Dining
Of all the culinary genres, Providenciales does gourmet dining the best. There’s always a great restaurant, café, or bistro to explore, and new dishes to try.
As may be expected from the many luxury resorts in the area, Grace Bay is home to most of the island’s restaurants, and many sites are within walking distance of or are inside the region’s accommodations.
Nightlife
As the main tourism island in the country, Providenciales offers the greatest selection of things to do. Bars and small nightclubs are the most popular local way to have a night out, yet beach BBQs, bonfires, sunset cruises, and special events are also well attended.
